Acetal Rod & Delrin Rod, Acetal Sheet & Tube

Acetal Rod & Delrin Rod, Acetal Sheet & Tube

Acetal® H (Derlin®), homopolymer acetal offers slightly higher mechanical properties than Acetal® C Acetal, but may contain a low-density centre, especially in larger cross-sections. Acetal® C (Copolymer) also offers better chemical resistance than homopolymer acetal. Acetal® H is suitable for small diameter, thin-walled bushings that benefit from the additional strength and rigidity of homopolymer acetal.

It is the preferred acetal for food contact and medical applications. Ertacetal, (Dotmar’s trade name for acetal rod, acetal sheet & acetal tube) is a semi-crystalline material with high strength, a low coefficient of friction and good wear properties especially in wet environments (resistance to hydrolysis).

Advantages of Acetal Rod, Acetal Sheet & Acetal Tube:

Acetal’s great machinability together with its dimensional stability, mechanical strength, zero moisture absorption and good load-bearing properties make it ideal for close-tolerance parts.
